Over 45,000 SDA devotees to attend annual mission festival at Mandela



Kampala – The Seventh Day Adventist [SDA] Church is holding its annual mission extravaganza 2020. This is convened with the aim to celebrate Adventist mission globally, since its inauguration 5 years ago.

Uganda Union’s communications director, Mr Immanuel Osoro Ogwal said the celebration will be at Mandela National Stadium – Namboole starting [today] 29th Jan to 1st Feb 2020.

He says the festival is targeting over 45,000 members fellowshipping in the Seventh Day Adventist Churches worldwide.

Mr Ogwal said as a global Church with a mission, they have in the past involved in many projects including health, education and helping the refugees in their settlement camps through their agency ADRA Uganda.

“This calls for such a celebration,” he said of their past ‘humanitarian’ support.”

Among the delegates to attend the celebration includes; the President of East and Central Division of SDA, Dr. Blasious Ruguri, Uganda Union, President, Dr. Matte and delegates from the general conference of SDA, among others.

He urged to the members to take advantage of this mission to invite friends and fellow church members to attend in big numbers.

“It’s an opportunity of meeting other friends from other countries which is united in the same blood of Christ,” he added.
