NUP flagbearer for MP, Dokolo South in nasty road accident

Dokolo – 27 October 2020: An aspiring candidate for Dokolo South MP seat on the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket is battling for his life at the emergency Unit of Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Mr Ambrose Ocen Kibuka got involved in an accident last evening (Sunday) as he was driving back to Lira from Kamapal where he was expected to strategize his campaign programs.

According to Moses Mawa, a passionate youthful NUP supporter and a close friend to Ocen, told TND News on Monday that Ocen was undergoing scans to ascertain if he has internal damages, but said his condition is not good.

“He was driving back to Lira last night but unfortunately around Matuga, he got involved in an accident, we are told it was a military man who was also driving in the opposite side who caused the accident,” Mr Mawa told this publication.

Asked about how serious the accident is, Mawa said: “The vehicle is completely written off and said it was that life threatening.”

Immediately after his nominations as an aspirant seeking to dislodge Mr Felix Okot Ogong, Kibuka as he is popular known, headed straight to Uganda’s Capital Kampala to mobilize resources for his campaigns.

On his journey back, he got an accident.

His vehicle, a “Corsa make”, was still at the accident scene by press time, while the registration of number of the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident is not known
