Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood stated that his goal just 35 seconds into the match perfectly reflected the approach head coach Fabian Hurzeler instills in his team.
The Seagulls breached Wolves’ defense within half a minute on Saturday, with Hinshelwood heading home a cross from left-back Maxim de Cuyper to make history.
“The manager always emphasizes starting matches quickly and with intensity so that our opponents feel the pressure,” Hinshelwood said. “And we did exactly that. It was a fantastic feeling to score, and it set the tone for us.
“It probably wasn’t our best performance in terms of possession, but at this stage of the season, results are what matter most.
“We just have to do what we can. We did that against Wolves, and we’ll aim to do the same again when we go to Elland Road next weekend.
“We simply need to give everything, as we have been doing, and get two good results to see where it takes us.”
