London—1, August 2020: The Gunners came from behind at Wembley stadium to claim their historic victories against London rivals, Chelsea.

A brace from Gabonese international, also Arsenal’s Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 28th and 76th minutes undermined the importance of earlier goal by Christian Pulisic in the 5th minute.

Arsenal’s solid performance has caused two good records: making Arsenal Head Coach Mikel Arteta the first person to win FA Cup as a captain/player and as a Manager and secondly making Arsenal the most successful club in England to have won the oldest trophy for the record 14th times.

Whereas Chelsea was reduced to 10 men after Mateo Kovacic was shown the red card in the 73rd minute, it was visible that Arsenal was sure of victory.

The victory also comes with excitement to Arsenal, who finished 8th in the Premier League. With FA cup in their hands, 2020/2021 Europa competitions have been secured.

The success will give a bit of relief to Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, who has taken charge of the North London club for less than 9 months, having been appointed in December 2019.

Mikel Arteta has dedicated the FA Cup trophy and victories to Arsenal fans and supporters across the globe in his post-match press briefing.

“FA Cup is the greatest moment in my career,” says Arteta according to Sky Sports. He has promised to build his team around two goal hero, Aubameyang.

“For me, personally, it’s been so tough the last six months for a lot of things that have happened in our lives, but I had only one mission when I came here which was to make the players and the staff believe that we could do it,” adds Arteta.

Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, whose country is in a three-year-tourism partnership with Arsenal Football Club under “Visit Rwanda” wants Arsenal to claim higher.

In his congratulatory message shortly after Arsenal won the FA Cup, he wrote on Twitter:

“Bravo, Congrats ARSENAL for a well deserved and needed win- FA CUP. We, FANS and supporters kept FAITH in you…going forward let’s aim at much bigger things. WE CAN…!!”
