National—27, June 2020: Uganda’s novel coronavirus cases have risen to 848 as of Friday, 26 June 2020.
This is after the Ministry of Health on Saturday morning confirmed fifteen new cases from 2868 samples tested on Friday.
The Ministry says three truck drivers from: Mirama Hills, Malaba and Elegu Points of Entry tested positive for the Covid-19.
Also, twelve of the confirmed cases are among contacts and alerts: 10 from Tororo who were under quarantine, 1 from Luwero, 1 from Amuru districts.

“Thirteen foreign truck drivers tested positive and were handed over to their respective countries of origin.”
As of Friday, Uganda’s total recoveries stand at 780
A confirmation note made via Twitter by the Ministry shows that 1,672 samples from Points of Entry were tested and 1,196 samples from alerts and contacts.
