Lango Entertainment Awards 2020 dubbed “Lockdown Edition”

Lira—12 October 2020: Started four years ago, Largo Entertainment Awards (LEA) annually recognises musical talents, personalities and successful men and women in entertainment industry across East and Northern Uganda.

The 2019 awards’ gala took place on Sunday, 19 January 2020 at Front Page Lounge (Gardens), Adyel division, Lira Municipality (as was still then).

With Covid-19 pandemic paralysing almost every event, and government’s continued ban on all social gatherings except for Houses of Worships allowed to resume with limited number of congregations, LEA management has found a solution as they plan to hold the 5th Edition.

“We are back, bigger and stronger despite the COVID-19 setbacks,” Daniel Moi, the LEA’s CEO, shared his excitement on Facebook Monday.

“We are launching LEA20 dubbed “Lockdown Edition””, he added.

Mr Moi adds that “key emphasis on messages that will help in reducing/ending teenage pregnancies that’s rampant currently due to the effects of COVID-19.”

They say “a press conference with journalists from different media houses as they unveil officially LEA20” will be held.

“Watch this space!!!!” his announcement further reads.
