Kole LC5 race: Bonny Okello Alele nominated

Kampala—August 12, 2020: The Chairperson electoral commission (EC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, Dr Tanga Odoi has nominated Bonny Ferdinand Okello Alele.

Mr Alele is aspiring to become the LC5 Chairman Kole district local government under NRM ticket. The current chair is Mrs Betty Akoli Nam (NRM) who’s also fighting to retain her seat.

Other new entrants are Andrew Awany also under NRM party and Ceaser Alaju under UPC party. Awany is the former Alebtong district, RDC and deputy RDC, Kitgum district.

Both Mr Alele Bonny, Mr Awany Andrew and Mrs Betty Nam will meet in NRM primary elections due soon. In that election, one will emerge a victor to carry the NRM party flag in the general elections early next year.

“OFFICIAL CANDIDATE: Today I was officially nominated by Dr Tanga Odoi, the party Chairman, Electoral Commission here at Kyadondo for Chairman LCV Kole District. To God be the glory!” Alele’s message to TND News reads.

Alele is a favourite to win party primary election, according to analysts. They say because of his entrepreneurial mind-set, he’s a “must vote for Kole”.

Who’s Bonny Okello Alele

He holds Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration—Accounting, and he’s pursuing a Bachelor degree in Public Administration.

  1. Upholding community rights. What is planned for the wanahanci should reach them and also making their voices to be heard.
  2. Promoting quality education system in Kole by offering refresher courses to teachers, recruiting more teachers, classrooms constructions, establishing Kole District Education Printing Unit to print exams and other related education materials for P5, P6 and P7.
  3. Promoting health sector for better service to the people of Kole and beyond.
  4. More roads’ construction and good maintenance system.
