Different aspirants, new and incumbents, especially regional vice chairpersons, have picked nominations forms with mission to occupy different top offices.

For Western Uganda (region), Dr Diini Emmanuel Kisembo, who’s aspiring to replace Maj Gen Matayo Kyalizonza, Uganda’s envoy to Burundi, picked nomination forms on Monday from NRM headquarters in Kampala.

In a recent interview with this publication, Dr Kisembo said time has come for youthful NRM cadres to take up different responsibilities in the party, and to take charge of the affairs within their localities.

To Kisembo, it’s only youthful (new) leadership in the party that will ensure that their national chairman, also the president, Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni continues to gain support from youth, most of whom are disadvantaged and are now supporting Bobi Wine.

In an interview with this same publication on Wednesday morning, Kisembo says he intends to support and empower youth in Western Uganda by creating for them different employment opportunities.

“Setting up skills centres for metal fabrication, wood work (carpentry and joinery, sports academy and purchasing land for the construction of NRM offices in every district, among others is a priority,” he promised.

Mr Kisembo says he’s also aspiring for the Buyaga East MP seat in Kagadi district in the coming 2021 general elections.

He has also supported over 100 pupils and students in Kagadi district by giving them schooling boxes, exercise books, pens, mattresses, among others.
