National—25, June 2020: Results from samples tested on June, 25 2020 confirm twelve new Covid-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health.
The new cases were from 2,113 samples tested. Two new cases were among 1,413 samples tested from Points of Entry while ten were among 700 samples of alerts and contacts. All confirmed cases are Ugandans.
A press release dated 25, June 2020 by Dr Henry G. Mwebesa, the Director of General Health Services, a total of twenty-five foreign truck drivers who tested positive for Covid-19 in Uganda were returned to their countries of origin.
Among them, fifteen were Kenyans, nine Tanzanians and one Congolese.

According to Dr Mwebesa, two of the confirmed cases are truck drivers who arrived from Kenya via Malaba Point of Entry.
Ten of the confirmed cases are alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases; four from Amuru, two from Kyotera, two from Luweero, one from Buikwe and one from Tororo districts.
He added that Uganda has registered 761 Covid-19 related recoveries with no related death.
