On Friday, Uganda registered 13 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health on Saturday morning announced that 13 new COVID-19 cases was recorded for Friday.

“Results of samples tested on 8, May 2020 confirmed 13 new COVID-19 cases from 2,421 samples of truck drivers,” the Ministry says.

“Out of the 13 new cases, seven (7) are Kenyans, four (4) are Ugandans while two (2) are Tanzanians. Tracking them has commenced and the public will be infirmed accordingly,” Ministry added.

All 740 community samples tested negative for COVID-19 with a total of 3,161 samples tested on Friday.

Uganda’s total confirmed cases are 114, with 55 recoveries and zero (0) death.
