On 3, May 2020, Journalists around the World celebrated World Press Freedom Day amidst novel coronavirus pandemic.

Unlike previous years, Journalists and Media Houses in many countries globally could not march in celebrations, due to the current lockdown and observing social distancing guideline.

Great Lakes Centre for Strategic Media Studies and her subsidiary, TND News – Northern Uganda’s first digital newspaper, like other Media Houses, joined the rest of the World in commemorating the 2020 WPFD.

Below, our Chief Executive Officer [CEO] and a Director In-charge Strategic Communications issued a statement to colleagues in Uganda and globally.
