Your Excellency,

On behalf of small holder and medium scale farmers of this nation – especially those from Alebtong district, we would like to appreciate you and the Ministry of Health for the great job you are doing to protect the lives of Ugandans from the deadly COVID-19 disease.

As farmers, we will follow the recommended guidelines as specified by Ministry of Health and World Health Organisation. But as you are aware, this is crop planting period and we are busy planting/weeding our gardens to catch up with first season rains.

We kindly seek for your standard recommendations/guideline on how we can attend to our gardens at this critical moment, without harming our health as abandoning our gardens is like death sentence to our livelihood.

We equally request that you spare for us some ample hours to access farm inputs and technical advice; extension services as this is one of the critical areas in our farm activities.

We appreciate your great endeavours in protecting the nation.

Long live Your Excellency President Y.K Museveni, Long Live Ugandans

With thanks,

Imat Janet Akello
