Kenya Ministry of Health has confirmed the death of a 66 year old man who has died of coronavirus.
In a press statement released on Thursday, 26 March, 2020 in the evening, Hon Mutahi Kagwe – the Cabinet Secretary wrote:
“We have received the sad news of the first patient who had tested positive for coronavirus. The 66 year old male Kenyan citizen who passed on this afternoon has been admitted at the Aghakhan Hospital Intensive Care Unit,” the statement reads.
It adds: “The man who was suffering from Diabetes had arrived in the country on March 13, 2020 from South Africa via Swaziland.”
“My condolences to the family.”
