Kampala – Uganda’s Ministry of Health is currently isolating four foreign nationals at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital – the Ministry says.
“They were picked up from Entebbe International Airport by our surveillance teams after presenting with flu and cough symptoms,” the Ministry adds, in a press statement released on Monday.
According to the health Ministry, samples have been collected and are being tested at Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI).
“As of today, Uganda has NO confirmed case of Coronavirus Disease (COVID19),” the statement further reads.
The Ministry further appeals to the general public to remain calm and vigilant and follow the preventive measures provided by the Ministry.
On Sunday, President Museveni asked Ugandans to do “self-quarantine” and practice good personal hygiene in order to fight Coronavirus that has reached Africa.
According to the BBC, global deaths has exceeded 3,000 – with China – registering more than 43 new deaths.
Iran, according to BBC has registered more than 50 deaths and Italy’s deaths stand at more than 30. Globally, Coronavirus has reached to over 10 countries.
The British media also says 90,000 confirmed cases have been recorded globally – with rapid spreads, now outside China.
