West Lango Diocese gets new Bishop



Namirembe, Kampala – House of Bishops in their assembly at Namirembe Guest House on Tuesday, 27, August 2019 elected the second Bishop of West Lango Diocese.

The Venerable Julius Ceaser Nina will replace retiring and first Bishop, Rt. Rev. Alfred Acur.

A communication delivered shortly after his election by Church of Uganda, Venerable Nina will be consecrated and enthroned as Bishop on the 15 December, 2019 at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Aduku.

“Venerable Nina was born on 29, November 1968 in Ayer-Tekidi, Kole district. He holds Bachelor of Divinity degree from Uganda Christian University and has received additional training in financial management from CORAT-Africa in Nairobi.”

“Venerable Nina was born again on 15 September 1985 during a service in which the preacher was preaching on Mathew 7:13: “Go in through the narrow gate because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy and there are many who travel through.”

Currently, Venerable Julius Nina is serving as the Archdeacon of Kiryandongo Archdeaconary in Masindi-Kitara Diocese.

Prior to his new position, he served as the Diocesan Secretary and Diocesan Treasurer of Masindi-Kitara Diocese, also the Diocesan Treasurer and Diocesan Education Secretary of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese.

He’s married to Janet Nina and God has blessed them with four children.
