Talent Expose: Northern Uganda dancehall artist celebrates 10 years

The Northern Uganda dancehall artist Ogenrwot Geoffrey  aka Rakas Topa is preparing to celebrate his 10th years in the music industry.

Ogenrwot, a resident of Unyama sub county in Gulu district was born in 1990.

The dancehall star, pledged to offer much more exciting shows and entertaining music to his fans.

He’s one of the few youthful musicians, at 29, in northern Uganda to celebrate his musical anniversary with his fans.

While addressing the press from the Northern Uganda Media Club on Tuesday, he assured media, his fans and public of the upcoming event.

In just one decade, he says he was able to win two northern Uganda great awards. One by Lango Entertainment Award (LEA 2018) for best male artist and also  Reggae dancehall artist of northern Uganda in 2018.

Ogenrwot aka Rakas Topa who released his first song in 2006 has a number of songs which inspires music lovers in the region.

His music also teaches people on the dangers of gender based violence and girls child education and many more songs.

The anniversary which is due to be celebrated in July 2019, will attract great performances from over 10 musicians from northern Uganda, and other regions.
