“I would therefore like to encourage all peace loving Ugandans and the government to emulate the heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in all our daily activities thus repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation, which can lead us to progress,” Uganda Peoples Congress [UPC] party national chairman, Lawrence Okae has said.
Mr. Okae, addressing media at party headquarters, Floor 6, Uganda House in Kampala, says Easter symbolizes the renewal of life – whising every Ugandans love and happiness.
On behalf of Congress, the party national chairman, earlier, in the same event, asked ruling party to consider “Youth Question” and its triggers.
Recalling past uprisings and recent one in Sudan, that led to Omar el-Bashir ouster, UPC party termed it a “2nd Liberation”.
The uprisings, opposition party say is about decline in standard of living compared to hike in cost of living.
