Youth, especially those from Teso sub-region have been told to start preparing themselves for future leadership.

Edith Wakumile, Executive Director, Uganda Women Concern has challenged the youths to grace themselves for the responsibility of leadership the future holds.

According to Wakumile, the young people are the treasure of the country such as Uganda and therefore should trade carefully.

She made this call in her capacity as the Guest of honor during the Closure of a five day youth conference organized by Uganda Women Concern with support from Women Concern UK at St Thomas Comprehensive High School, Bumbobi sub -county in Mbale district over the weekend.

However, during the conference youth were taken through a number of different things, like preaching to them the word of God, skills, and shown different talents.

Uganda Women Concern always has annual youth conferences were t youths are called upon from different districts the organization is present in.

Edith Wakumile further appealed to the youths to focus on their education instead of rushing to travel abroad in search for casual jobs, a thing she described as exploitation
