There is huge hope among Ugandans after national football team; Uganda Cranes trounced Cape Verde 1:0 at Mandela National Stadium – Namboole on Saturday.
Cranes just needed a point to qualify and Patrick Kaddu’s second half strike was enough to send Uganda to the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.
This is the second successive time the Cranes have reached AFCON and are yet to concede a goal in their four meetings.
In early 2019, Uganda will play Tanzanian national team side, Taifa Stars who plays Lesotho later today [Sunday].
Uganda leads in group L with 13 points with only one match to play. Tanzania sits second with 5 points, Cape Verde 4 points and Lesotho at the tail with just two points.
Should Lesotho win against Taifa Stars today; she will be on 5 points, leveled with Tanzania who will have minimal chance to qualify alongside Cranes.
