Dr Kenneth Omona and Prof Venancious Baryamureeba.

After announcing his love to join National Resistance Movement [NRM] party, claiming God had told him to do so, the 2016 opposition presidential contender, Professor Venancious Baryamureeba is soon to be unveiled by the ruling party.

Mr Baryamureeba, also an educationist contested against President Museveni alongside Kizza Besigye of FDC, Amama Mbabazi of Go Forward, Maureen Kyla, among other contenders in 2016.

Three years after, he claims God has told him to join President Museveni and be part of the regime.

This contemporary news website has been highly informed that a meeting between a man who wanted to oust Museveni via election and NRM top leader has been held.

The meeting, according to reliable sources was meant to educate him on NRM ideologies before official unveiling. It was also held to thank him for making what is termed as ‘wise choice’ and to influence more like him, to defect.

“NRM National Deputy Treasurer, Dr Kenneth Omona has officially held high level maiden discussions with the Professor Venansius Baryamureeba whom God recently directed to join the ruling NRM Party. This meeting is part of the launch plans geared towards welcoming the academic giant to the giant NRM Party,” a source told us.

Meanwhile, Mr Omona stated that the difference in opinion is usual as long as people have common interests and values about our country, adding: “We harmonize opinions as we move forward.”

“To the Movement, everyone counts though not essential as so does Professor Barya,” Dr Omona noted.
Professor Baryamureeba noted that there is a strong reason as to why he decided to join NRM.

Meanwhile, his unveiling is expected to take place next month in an open space, after meeting and holding talks with President Museveni in coming days. The national party chairman of NRM, Mr Museveni shall host his new arrival at State House Entebbe, our source says.
