UPDATE: More deaths, 3 critically ill, victims identified

Two other local footballers of Amac sub-county in Erute County South, Lira district who got involved in Sunday’s fatal road carnage in Dokolo district have been identified.

Lamek Oling who was a goal keeper of Kings FC, a local football team in the sub-county is the latest player to have been pronounced dead on Monday.

Another player, a defender only identified as Desmond has also passed on.

The news of their untimely death was further confirmed by Joel Ojok, the team’s captain who described the accident as a big tragedy.

The death toll now stands at seven people.

Meanwhile, three of the 10 players who were reported in critical condition Sunday have been transferred from Dokolo health center IV to Lira regional referral hospital after their conditions deteriorated.
