The life of Kasul Acidri, a resident of Arua Municipality will never be the same again after winning a bet from Fortebet.

Three months ago, Acidri entered in one of Arua’s Fortebet centres and selected 12 games, on which he bet with just shs.1000. To his luck, this ticket won, and it earned him shs.49, 186,284m.

The money was handed over to Acidri by Fortebet’s Media manager, John Nanyumba.

“Since I received this money, my life changed instantly and I am certain it will never be the same again,” Acidri said during a courtesy visit by Fortebet team. He added, “I proudly tell everyone about my story with Fortebet. Before this win, I did not have a job. I was only helping my brother at his shop and he would pay me some little money. As I talk, I have set up my own business and very soon I am going to be a home owner.”

Acidri told us that he used shs10m to start up his business located in Arua market-selling new men’s garments. He also used shs.20m to buy a plot of land (30x50ft) at Onjivu in Arua Municipality.

“In this plot, I am building a house, where I will be staying. The same house has been also designed to house tenants. So, I will soon be having double business both from my rentals and the business,” Acidri noted, while showing Fortebet team his house that is under construction.

Acidri says that he still has some money on his account that he will still commit to other personal plans.

“I first kept the balance on my account as I monitored the performance of my new business. Now that the business has rooted well, I am going to invest this money in other ventures that I can’t disclose at this stage,” Acidri told us.
