The Mubende district locals are in acute shock after a strange disease killed eight of their own and threatening more lives.
In their efforts to identify the type of disease outbreak, Ministry of Health has taken blood samples to the United States of America for further examination.
Dr. Henry Mwebesa who’s the Acting Director General of Health Services says, “The Ministry of Health has sent samples to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Collaborating Laboratory in the Atlanta, United States for definite diagnosis.”
He however noted that all the samples collected and tested in Uganda all tested negative of all known deadly diseases like Ebola, Yellow fever, Marbug and others.
Meanwhile, laboratory information indicates eight deaths and sixteen registered cases in Sunga, Kayembe, Kasombya villages in Kibalinga sub-county in Mubende district.
Boy, 14, is one of the victims of the yet to be identified disease in the district. Locals say he vomited profusely before passing on.
