The sudden death of the Arua Municipality MP, Col. Ibrahim Abiriga has raised public debate, with many saying his killing was unexpected.

Those in NRM party, a party Abiriga treasured with all his heart, up to the time of his assassination, blamed his death on enemies of the ruling party.

President Museveni on Friday evening termed Abiriga’s killing as senseless.

A former aide to President Museveni before resigning from office as Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Kitgum district has advised President Museveni to relinquish State power.

Mwaka Emmanuel Lutukumoi who now lives in the United States of America, tweeted on Sunday thus: “Free advice. H.E Museveni, you did your best and worse for Uganda, Africa and your party…..Give Ugandans a chance. We are fed up of you! Innocent people: dying: Uganda saw a lot and you were there! Leave and advise as a father! Cling not, do you know God?”

Mwaka’s message to President Museveni.

Mwaka was a strong Democratic (DP) Party supporter, mobilizer and a national DP spokesperson before he crossed to NRM in 2011.
