Min. Naduli gives shs.1m to Lango Media SAACO

Minister without Portfolio, Al Haji Abdul Naduli has donated shs.1m to Lango United Journalist Association (LUJA)SAACO.

The donation was handed over to the association leaders,Okello Augustine who’s the interim Finance Secretary and Charles Dickens Elem, the interim Chairperson on Friday at Lira Municipal Council Hall.

The event was witnessed by other interim officials and members, including ordinary journalists who had turned in big numbers.

According to the Minister, the donation is to help journalists with account opening and other expenses.

He warned the leaders from being reckless and self seekers, further warning them to make good accountability of bigger money they will undoubtedly get from government.

Mr. Naduli urged members to be organised and expect huge sum of monies for their proposed SAACO from government.

The management of LUJA SAACO are on temporary basis, CD Elem who is the interim chair told Minster in his welcome remarks.

LUJA SAACO, according to Patrick Okino, Chairperson Lango United Journalist’s Association (LUJA) said all entities will be autonomous.

Okino added that it’s aimed at reducing on the workloads his leadership with LUJA is having.
