“To women and young ladies, if you can’t manage being a mother, don’t go for men,” TND News Uganda’s C.E.O, Mr Milton E. A urges on learning about this sad news.
The C.E.O’s statement comes after a one month old male baby was found dumped under a tree near defunct Lira Spinning Mill, Railway division by Ms Akullu Janet.
On Wednesday, David Ongom Mudong, the North Kyoga Region Police spokesperson says the matter was reported to Police by the woman who recovered the toddler.
“The matter was reported to Police and reference made to Lira District Probation and Welfare Department. Terms and conditions were set that; the child will be under the care taker Ms. Akullo Janet who found the child and willing to adopt the child, the Police shall continue to hunt for the parents of the abandoned child, the terms and conditions are subject to change any time depending on the circumstances that may arise for the best of the child,” Mudong explained.
He added that the Police thus appeal to the general public to avail information that can lead to the location of both parents of the child.
“The police are dedicated to ensure the juvenile gets appropriate care it deserves,” Police spokesperson added.
